Originally incorporated in 1955, the Pensacola Sports Association (PSA) is a private not-for-profit agency and one of the oldest sports commissions in the country.

  PSA's annual events include the Pensacola Double Bridge Run, Annual Awards Banquet, High School All-Star Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Softball and Baseball games, Senior Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet, Racquet Roundup tennis clinics, Bud Light Charity Challenge Tennis Tournament and Pensacola Marathon.

    West prevails in 34-27 game
    The SUBWAY High School All-Star Series 2014-15 season presented by the Andrews Institute continued with the 11th Annual AllStar Football game on Thursday night at Niceville High School Stadium.
    The West team won this year's exciting game 34-27; it came right down to the wire with a goal-line defense by the West holding onto their lead as the final seconds ticked off.

    MVPs were named for both squads and Congratulations to:

    East Offensive Player - John Hicks (Choctaw)
    East Defensive Player - Tyrone Baker (Crestview)

    West Offensive Player - Slade Jarmon (Pensacola High)
    West Defensive Player - Marquis Cass (Tate)


    The SUBWAY High School All-Star Series, organized by the Pensacola Sports Association, recognizes senior athletes in volleyball, football, men's and women's soccer, men's and women's basketball, men's baseball, and women's softball from Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Okaloosa County. Sponsors include Academy Sports & Outdoors, the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, the Pensacola Sports Association Foundation, David Bowen's Sporting Goods, COX, MediaCom, and WEAR-TV3, and the Okaloosa County Sheriff's office.

    Since its creation with the inaugural football game in 2004, 3000 of the finest athletes from Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa counties have showcased their skills for college scouts, family and classmates and built friendships with former on-field rivals.

    The University of West Florida and the Pensacola Sports Association will host the 35th annual NIRSA National Flag Football Championships Jan. 2 to 4, 2015 at the Ashton Brosnaham Complex. Registration is currently open until Monday, Dec. 29 for open teams.

    The collegiate division will feature teams from four-year universities and junior or community colleges. All others are invited to participate in the open men's division, including teams with faculty or staff members or those affiliated with the military. Teams registered for the open men's division will play on Jan. 3 and 4.

    The NIRSA National Flag Football Championships is a pool play tournament, with at least the top two teams of each pool advancing to a single elimination playoff. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of two games.

    This year, the first place winner of the open men's division tournament will receive a $1,000 cash prize. Registration is $400 per team.
