2015 Pensacola Futures Pro Mens Circuit Tennis
Congratulations to Henrik Wiersholm, 2015 Singels Champion
- A large crowd gathered at the Roger Scott Tennis Center Saturday to watch local high school player Chris Ephron and former UWF player and national champion Bruno Savi compete in the doubles finals of the Pensacola Futures tennis tournament. Despite the cheers and support from the crowd, Savi and Ephron lost in two sets to Denis Shapovalov from Canada and Peter Nagy from Hungary. Shapovalov and Nagy were ranked as the 2464th doubles team at the start of the tournament.
Henrik Wiersholm, a sophomore at the University of Virginia, has been on a hot streak this tournament winning eight straight sets and won the Singles Championship by defeating Alex Rybakov Sunday afternoon. Both players are just 18 years old.
