Originally incorporated in 1955, the Pensacola Sports Association (PSA) is a private not-for-profit agency and one of the oldest sports commissions in the country.

  PSA's annual events include the Pensacola Double Bridge Run, Annual Awards Banquet, High School All-Star Football, Volleyball, Soccer, Softball and Baseball games, Senior Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet, Racquet Roundup tennis clinics, Bud Light Charity Challenge Tennis Tournament and Pensacola Marathon.

    The 2014 Pensacola Futures Pro Men's Circuit tennis tournament returns to Roger Scott Tennis Center this November !

    It is preceded by a Wild Card tournament that is open to the public November 11 - 13, and includes a Qualifier (sold out with 128 entries last year) and then the Main Draw Singles and Doubles competitions beginning Tuesday, November 18th. Championship matches will be Sunday, November 23rd.

    There will be a Pro-Am event, Q & A with the Pros and youth clinics, with details on those events to follow soon!

    Gulf South Conference Soccer Championships Add Youth Clinic
    November 7 - 9
    The 2014 Gulf South Conference Men's and Women's Soccer Championships will be held at Brosnaham Park November 7th and- 9th.

    This year there will be a free youth soccer clinic held on Saturday, November 8th and manned by collegiate coaches and players from the conference teams. This is a free clinic (see informational flyer by clicking on the link at the end of this story) - sign up will be at Brosnaham Park (10360 Ashton Brosnaham Road, off Ten Mile Road) at 10:00 on Saturday morning.

    The University of West Florida men's and women's teams are the defending conference champions, but have plenty of talented competition: Alabama-Huntsville's men's team is the top seed (as of October 22), and West Alabama holds the top spot in the women's rankings (as of October 22).

    New conference schools competing this year are Shorter and Union, with another year before Mississippi College, Springhill College and Lee can compete for conference honors.

    Four semi-final games will be played on Friday, November 7th and the Conference Championships on Sunday November 9th. Tickets will be available at the gate ($5 a day or $8 for a weekend pass).

    Jack Williams claims trophy for 2014
    Congratulations to Jack Williams as Team Williams won the 2014 President's Cup golf tournament yesterday at A.C. Read Golf Course.

    Jack was helped by his teammates Tom McVoy, Jimmy Halstead and Ron Busbee. They tore through the course at NAS Pensacola and cruised to victory. The President's Cup trophy was passed to Jack Williams from James Currie, who won the 2013 tournament.

    All of the past Presidents of the Pensacola Sports Association have given their time and efforts to better the community through sports, and in particular, through the Pensacola Sports Association and its programs.
