High School All-Star Game a Huge Success!

Close to 1,500 people came out to Escambia High School last Friday to watch football players from three counties in a battle of North and South. The Pensacola Sports Association High School All-Star Football Game saw two great teams with players from Northview to Crestview, and everywhere in between, battle it out on the gridiron one last time. For these seniors, it would be the last time they would play high school football. Some will go on to play in college. Some won’t. But one thing’s for sure: these boys love football!

Judging by the score of the game, head coaches Mickey Lindsey from Pace and Chris Nemith from Gulf Breeze obviously picked fantastic teams. The score stood at 0-0 at the end of the first half. However, the North team took over during the second half. Devon Freeman from Niceville put the North up by 7 with his 15-yard run for touchdown. Pace’s Ryan Strang hit a 37-yard field goal late in the game for a final score of 10-0.

Devon Freeman from Niceville was awarded the Most Valuable Offensive Player award at the end of the game. Victory Nettles of Woodham received the recognition of Most Valuable Defensive Player.
