The 3rd annual Pensacola Sports Association High School All-Star Football Game will be held on Friday, December 15th at 7 PM at Pace High School. In the third edition of this talent-laden game, senior standouts from Escambia County will take on the star seniors from Santa Rosa and Okaloosa Counties in a battle of East and West.

Each team will be made up of 45 senior players. Each participating school will have at least 2 players represented with the balance of the players selected by the respective coaching staffs.

Coach Chet Bergalowski from Washington High School was selected as this year’s head coach for the West team. Navarre High School’s Larry Olson will call the shots for the East.

The game will provide an opportunity for the players to showcase their talents to college coaches, peers, and the local community. Cox Communications will again broadcast the game on television, and AM 1620 will broadcast live on the radio.

Tickets are on sale now! Tickets are $5 in advance and can be purchased at the Pensacola Sports Association office (101 West Main Street, downtown Pensacola) or at any of the local high schools through Thursday, December 14. Tickets will be $7 at the gate. Tickets for the pre-game banquet on Thursday night are also on sale for $5 at the Pensacola Sports Association office.

Bridge Run Early Registration Ends December 31st

For those of you who would like to participate in the 2007 Double Bridge Run at a discounted price, time is running out! From now until December 31, the 5K run/walk is $20 and the 15K run is $25. Registration fees will increase to $25 for the 5K run/walk and $30 for the 15K run at the beginning of the year. Don’t forget – there is NO day-of registration this year!!! Get your applications in early! The run will be held Saturday, February 3, 2007.

If you have never participated in the Double Bridge Run before, come on out this year and see what all the fuss is about! You will run (or walk) across miles of beautiful water, then party at the Quietwater Boardwalk on Pensacola Beach while decked out in your awesome Double Bridge Run t-shirt (free with registration!)… it’s the most fun you will ever have at a run!

PSA has a television show! “Inside Sports” can be seen on BLAB TV every other Tuesday at 8 PM. NCAA FALL FESTIVAL SHOW

Did you miss the NCAA Division II Fall Festival last month? You can still catch some of the action by tuning in to the fall sports highlight show, featuring the six championships held here in Pensacola! The show will air December 30 at noon on CBS.
