Come celebrate the Fourth of July with the PSA! All members and their families are invited to come to our office downtown on Independence Day to enjoy food, drinks, music, and bathrooms (which are a great thing to have when you’re downtown on the Fourth of July!). The festivities kick off at 5 PM and go throughout the fireworks show that starts at 9 PM. Our office is in a PERFECT location to see the fireworks, so bring a lawn chair or two and hang out with us! There will be lots of chances to win prizes and there will be plenty of entertainment for the kids… bring the whole family! Do you know someone who might be interested in a PSA membership? Bring them along also! We will have plenty of PSA Membership applications to sign people up. Help us continue the valuable community service we provide by recruiting more members! Are you not a member, but might be interested in membership? You are welcome to come and see what being a PSA member is all about. See you on the Fourth!

The Jerry Pate/Andrews Institute Southern Junior golf tournament, formerly the Joe Durant Southern Junior hosted by the Pensacola Sports Association, has been made an AJGA event. This year, the tournament will be held July 17-20 at AC Read Golf Club, showcasing the top young golfers from right here in Northwest Florida and from all over the country. The AJGA (American Junior Golf Association) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. Players like Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Grace Park perfected their golf game through the AJGA. The tournament will also feature a Junior-Am. If you are interested in participating in the Junior-Am, or just want more information, contact Leslie McGill at the Pensacola Sports Association at 434-2800 or Katie French with the AJGA, (770) 868-4200. You can also visit their website at http://www.ajga.org/TournInfo/2006/default.asp?TN=T48 Come on out... You could be watching the next Tiger Woods!
