Junior Ice Flyers
The hockey season begins on October 20th, and until March, and the Northwest Florida Hockey League will be hosting a "Junior Ice Flyers" program during the season.

The purpose of this program is get children and teenagers acquainted with the basics of the game and to teach them skills that will better equip them for the ice. These skills include basic skating techniques, puck handling, positioning on the ice, as well as the defensive and offensive nuances of the game. More importantly, the children will learn the importance of teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Players are broken down into six age groups: "Mini-Mites," ages 4 and 5, "Mites," ages 5 through 8, "Squirts," ages 9 and 10, "PeeWees," ages 11 and 12, "Bantams," ages 13 and 14, and "Midgets," ages 15 through 18.
